I wrote an article and review on an alternative to adsense
that I use. I thought it may be useful for this Forum. Here
it is...
REVIEW - Is Adsense OUT and Image Ads IN?
Image Ads is the one of the latest to enter the arena of
providing website publishers with methods of increasing
their ad revenue.
After further examination and trial usage it would appear
they have put together an ad delivery service that fills a
void left by most of the current services, including the
biggest of them all Google Adsense.
Here are reasons why Image Ads are gaining popularity
amongst internet marketers:
1-Instead of bare text ads Image Ads delivers images
related to the text ad. The image catches the eye, and as
with most images we develop an emotional level to it.
So most importantly the ad gets read.
2-You pre select either by selecting from one of over 100
categories, or you pre select the keyword related to that
ad.
So in effect making it a non contextual ad - thus is
compatible when using with Adsense sites.
3-By category and/or keyword selection you provide your
targeted visitor with targeted solutions - and when the
visitor buys - the website owner gets paid as much as 75%
commissions, typically $20 - $50.
That is much more than the 5 cents to $1.00 you receive
from adsense ads.
4- Image Ads also uses psychological trigger of the -click
here- command as an integral part of their ads.
5-When a visitor click on a link - the link opens in a new
window. This is a definite advantage as it keeps your
website window still open on the visitors computer.
6-Image Ads Setup is simple and easy- A simple copy and
paste procedure.
7 Image Ads Costs depends on membership level - from Free
to $16/mo. This is still a bargain. You profit immediately
when Just a few visitor purchase.
8-Members can tweak ads to improve click thru rates.
9 - Provides visitors with immediate solution - that pays
the website owner a great deal more then a ppc would.
10. With over 10,000 products Image Ads does cover topics
for most websites. However, there may be some topics where
they do not have a product for.
11. Since most of Image Ads products are delivered by
ClickBank - you get paid every 2 weeks.
Image Ads definitely has several advantages over adsense
and similar ad delivery systems.
Will it replace adsense... no, I seriously doubt that.
It may be to early to tell yet... but Image Ads is
increasingly gaining ground as an alternative to Google
Adsense.
Image ads are worth checking out.

I say image Ads are great, but the text Ads are still very effective. For example I wouldn't want 5 image Ads on my site one right after the other, but I wouldn't mind having 5 text Ads flow together.
Image Ads are good for standing alone, so that means you still should use text Ads right along with an image Ad.
