Are 0 PR backlinks useful?
What if I acquire one 6 PR backlink to my site homepage, will it be sensible for me to remove all the 0 PR off my page? I have around 50 of them.. _________________ Unlimited Diskspace, Bandwidth and Domains. Plans Starts From $3/mo ONLY!

Because visible PageRank is updated only three or four times a year, you don't really know if all those pages linking to you have PageRank 0.
It's perfectly natural to have a range of links to a site with different PageRank. It would look totally unnatural to have just one link - a PageRank 6 one - linking to your site. I wouldn't remove the other links, unless they're off-topic links. They may be doing you some good. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Any link that delivers a real user to your website, a user that is interested in what you have to offer is useful.
The sooner you forget about all the PR hype the better the chances you will make money.

If you are concerned about PR, don't forget a PR0 site today may be a PR5 or higher site tomorrow (I've achieved PR5's in one update for several sites now). There is a lot of debate about PR in general, but try not to put too much focus on it when it comes to linking. _________________ Avalon

I believe any related backlink is useful, regardless of PR. I agree that it might mean traffic. Although quality of backlinks has some weight in SEO, I understand that the number of backlinks is the thing, and over ten, supposedly, makes our friendly search engines happy.
BTW, I set up backlinks based on keywords (bum marketing strategy), trying to cover most of the top keyword phrases by backlinks, in other words, 30 keyword phrases would equal 30 backlinks, each built around one of those 30 phrases. I build backlinks for traffic so I may have some tunnel vision when it comes to PR.
Much Success,

PR is as much a function of the age of the site as anything. I know of sites which have been shut down except for a basic homepage but because still have a PR of 4!
The value of PR is also affected by its age, so if you've had a link from a PR0 site for a year and it suddenly increases in value, the effect on your site will be better than if you'd just picked it up last Tuesday.
Don't be scared by PR: it's not as important as it used to be, _________________ BigMax

What matters these days is site's SERPS. PR is outdated.
Look at SERPS of the sites that link to you.
I would rather get a PR 1 link from a site #4 on google instead of a site with PR 6 nowhere in search results. _________________ Get 1000 free one way links, Best Affiliate Programs, International Calling Cards |

Forget PR. Just keep them relevant and only link to sites having good content. _________________ Cheers!!! |

It will not be removed but your PR will go up.It might be removed if you are automatically de-linked from the website.
I am giving you the general PR calculations.
The Page Rank Of A Website depends solely on your inboud links. The PageRank of a website is calculated with the help of the following equation:
PR(A)=(1-d)+(PR OF LINK PAGE 1*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE1)+ (PR OF LINK PAGE 2*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE2)+.....+(PR OF LINK PAGE P*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE P).
Where A,is your website
D is a damping factor =0.85
link page 1,2...,P are the pages that has a link pointing to your website and can be found out by conducting a search on google with link:www.website.com. |

Now onwards I will care only about the relevancy and not the PR while getting back links for my site. A relevant site will send genuine customer to my site and many sites will send many. _________________ Arun Lakhera is a professional journalist and copy-writer.
