I saw a lot of blogs saying about google slap on blogs that had text links and paid posts and their PageRank got reduced from it and i do noticed quite a few blogs do have their PageRank reduced.

May i know what type of text links and paid posts are they refering to? I just achieved a PageRank 4 so i dont want to do anything to jeopardize a drop in it.

this newletters are talking about paid review. I am wondering if allowing pple to pay you to put a banner on your blog to advertise is also considered as the same thing above?

Selling banner ads SHOULD be OK. There's nothing mentioned in Google's webmaster guidelines or Google Webmaster Tools about banner ads. It's paid text links that Google hates, unless they are rel="nofollow" links, not passing PageRank.

However, because of the way Google has been throwing its weight around lately, I don't think we can take anything as guaranteed.

How does Google know if they are paid links or posters? I am not sure how they would prove this to justify a page drop??

Google doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. It's big and powerful enough to make its own rules. We have to learn to live by those rules - or get our traffic from somewhere else.

Because every paid link includes tracking code? or js on header...

I've come to the conclusion that Google slap you for any outbound links. I have no paid links, but I do link out a lot and I suffered heaps in the last update.
