Did anybody checked Clickbank University? CB has launched an online training program via CBU for clickbank marketers. Moreover it is charging $97 as a monthly membership fee. Has anybody joined in it? Is it worth the fee? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I saw you were asking about us, so I thought I'd let you know what we're up to...

First, by way of introduction, I'm Andy Bourland, President of ClickBank University. I've been online for a good number of years (you can read about it in our sales letter) and have a company called Walker Rhodes LLC.

Simply put, we're ClickBank's joint venture partner in this whole thing. Again, I tell the story of how we came together on this in the sales letter.

Our job is fundamentally to increase the number of people receiving checks from ClickBank every two weeks and increase the value of those checks.

No other metric really matters.

Every video, every eClass, every download is measured by whether or not it will make an appreciable difference in the number and amount($) of commission checks sent out.

So, there are a lot of things that may be of interest, but if it doesn't build your business, it doesn't cut it at CBU.

Just to clarify, our introductory price is $77.

If you sign up after November 16th, the price is $97.

So if you're interested, sign up, and if it doesn't contribute to your bottom line within 8 weeks, we'll refund everything you've paid in.

Before I get going into a sales pitch, I'll just wind up and say thanks for checking us out.

If you ever have any questions that I can help you with, email me at andrew@clickbankuniversity.com

Best of success,

Andy

Hi Andy, Welcome!

Is the commission really 1%? What's the thinking behind that?

Hi Allan,

No, that was a screwup on my part that I had completely forgotten about.

ClickBank has determined that CBU is a service provided to their members, not a product for the ClickBank Marketplace, so there's no affiliate program for ClickBank University.

I've gotten some feedback from affiliates and have passed it along to the powers that be, and I know from dealing with them that they really listen actively, but I'm not really confident they'll be changing their mind on this.

They are laser focused on increasing the number of commission checks they send out at CB, and that's why this whole thing came about.

The better informed their affiliates are, the more money they both make.

I doubt that was the answer you're looking for, but that's the truth.

Best of success,

Andy

Hi There

I have just joined CBU to check it out, so here is my HONEST review, It is not a good review, but I hope you will take my opinions on board and hopefully make the site better!

Firstly I would like to say Andrew is from the UK and makes $1million net a year just from clickbank so I already like the guy. Nice one mate!

When you join you are hit with an upsell which I think is a bit cheeky because you have just subscribed to a pretty pricey membership site I would expect the tools they try to sell you to be free. Instead, to get the full package you are required to spend ANOTHER $67 a month, this REALLY didn't get me off to a good start with this site!

I checked out some of the very long video content, I'm sure it has good tips in there but it seems to have a large amount of fluff, this is not what I like, I want bang, bang, bang... these are the best tips. I am not looking forward to viewing 10's of hours of video to find them.

The forum doesn't seem to be very big right now and there is only a setion to introduce yourself, a secton for members offers and a section to post threads to ask for affiliates.

They also have a section to discuss the current module, I assume they will add more forum sections as new modules are released, but they should have general discussion and tips area in the forum in my opinion.

So all in all this seems to be for CB newbies, I'm not very impressed so far, it really did NOT bear well with me that for CB tools you needed to sign up for ANOTHER $67 a month.

Kind Regards

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Your points are well taken.

I found you on our database and forwarded you a link to the content for the second eClass. Seeing that you are not a newbie, I saw no reason for you to wait for a week... yes, we do update content weekly.

Chris' 2nd eClass and beyond get beyond the newbie level and I think you'll like it more.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes.

We'll strive to keep our content relevant for you.

Take care,

Andy

I want to add my three cents here.

This is just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

That doesn't make sense.

I find it ridiculous that Click Bank would charge anything directly or indirectly for training. It's not in their best interest to do so.

The money click Bank earns, as a third party facilitator, on both affiliates and product/service owners should be enough to motivate them to (help) us to sell more.

An analogy would be like eBay charging it's sellers to learn how to sell more at eBay U. or an affiliate program charging us to learn how to sell more of it's products/services. That's crazy and would not fly.

I would not join any affiliate program that would charge me for training. That's insane. So why would I pay click bank or a "partner" of click bank for training?

Just my 3 sense... what do I know?

I tend to agree. I imagine they would get many thousands more signing up if it was free. However, people do usually value things more if they have to pay for it.

CB University was originated by Andy Bourland, a seasoned marketer. ClickBank has been so slow to improve over the years I doubt very much if ClickBank University would exist at all if Andy hadn't taken action.

Surely the most important question isn't whether it's it's fair, but "Does it offer value for money?"

Indeed, value for money is the most important thing.

There is a LOT of content there, that goes into huge detail, it is also in video format so you can watch it on the train etc.

But at $164 a month for the full package (with the upsell) and no affiliate programme so you can cover your subscribion by refering say 4 people... I'm hoping to be making what Andrew makes this time next year!!!

You should also know this thread is at the top of google for the phrase 'clickbank university', the reason for this is because there is no affiliate programme, if there was marketers would be at the top offering superb reviews because they are trying to sell it.

Obviously you will get more honest reviews with no affiliate program, but this will mean a lot less subscibers for for the program. A Lot less!

Some things do seem flawed with this whole idea, however that is normal for a new site, I will get back to the members here when I have more time to check out the content, I will then let you guy's know my opinion on the value of the e-course.

All The Best

Daniel Soulsby

Clickbank product vendor AND affiliate.

Why make it so complicated? just get your set up mall (even for free), gather some tips from forums or free ebooks like 77 ways... and go ahead with your promotion! a lot of tuition just cost you time and money...
