| I just purchased a hosting package and i am trying to promote affiliate programs. Correct me if i am wrong. Do I now have webspace with no content. How do i cut and paste affiliate link coding on my page. When you join a second program do you create a sub domain and so on for others. When i tried to join commission junction they ask for the content of my site. If my intent is to upload affiliate link coding is it not just empty space at this time. Please explain |

You cannot just upload links directly. Sounds like you need to learn how to build webpages before you can learn to upload. You have to create a webpage, put your links into the page, then upload the page.
You should check out resources on building webpages, a step by step guide, to get started, build your pages, upload them, then get approved for affiliate programs.
Revise your pages to include your affiliate links, reupload them, then you will be on the way.

Yes.
Compare your position with that of an offline "author"... You have managed to secure a publishing contract for your new book, but you haven't written it yet.
(Not an exact analogy, maybe, but close.)
Hope this helps,

Hey, Train -
First - in your new efforts, you'll do much better if you concentrate your efforts on a product or two.
Second - catalog sites don't sell, and link farms are a no-no these days.
Third - be careful and go slow until you find people you can trust. Don't spend a bunch of money buying stuff other people tell you that you need. Do your own research and then decide what you need. Definitely listen to the recommendations of others, take notes, and compare opinions.
Last - use your own name instead of some alias if you want to begin to brand yourself and build some credibility. Will people have a high level of comfort dealing with 'train' or with you?
Hope this helps -
God Bless you,
Chip Tarver

Have you figured things out yet?
You need to add the website code to your hosting account yourself or pay someone to do it...
If you're struggling, you might want to consider the Plug-In Profit Site. I'll build a site for you and then you can add to it, change it as you go along.
Details in my sig...
Also, you might want to read a few quick-start guides to html programming. Search Google to find something that works for you.
Warm regards,

It looks like it may be best if you joined some ppc search engines that offer you to promote their web portal pages directly onto your site.
This is because you only need to produce one page with a bit of html which they will provide you. Once you have included their html within your page, all you have to do is upload it to your server, and you will then have a fully functional site which will make you money. That's if you can get visitors off cause.
Some great ppc search engines also pay you with a low min or no minimum payout that is paid monthly or sooner. They also pay between 70% - 90% of their bidded amounts.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Other than that, I think you may have a long way to go, before you can start making money from affiliate programs.
Firstly, it may be best if you learnt how to make webpages. This can be done by using Dreamweaver or learning from online tutorials.
I first started by learning from HTMLGoodies.
After you have learn't how to create a site, you may then want to build one and then it may be best to look around the web and see how other sites have incorporated affiliate programs into their sites content. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

Out of curiosity (i'm not an internet marketer) I did this search on Google: +making +money : This is what pops up first:
http://home-business-for-u.teach-nology.com/
How about that for keyword density!!!
And I, who get a mouthful of bad language from my SBI package when I have a phrase 4 times instead of three on a page!!! Does overloading the keywords really matter? By the way, this site is also no.1 for +make +money. There is someone who must make a lot of money!! _________________ DatabaseDesigner

In areas as competitive as these, external linking strategy and PageRank will have much more dominance in the Google algo than on-page factors such as keyword density.
Try reverse engineering their linking structure. I suspect this is the secret to their success.
Cheers,
