Post subject: Menu design Question
|

Hello
Ok, I figured out the Css style sheets the font part anyways but Im to scared to try it in the tables yet.( mentioned from a previous post )
I have tabs on the left of my site that lead into subject areas like most sites implement. My question is should I create new menus for the sub-categories that replace the main menu selection or should I create links at the bottom of the page that lead into the sub-categries and keep the main menu on the left unchanged ?
Example: Home page ( Left main Menu )
Main Menu: Home- Furniture - Lighting - wallcovering - Links -Tips-etc
Example : Visitor clicks on category - Wallcovering
( Now the main menu would change to )
Home-draperies-paint-wallpaper -etc
or should I just create links for the sub-categories at the bottom of the page like most SBI sites are developed ?
Geesh..It takes me forever to explain something
Thanks

The home link should be on every page as I am sure you know, I would also maintain the primary category links. You can do this simply at the bottom of subpages with one line, or at the top with one line. If the pages have a tendency to be long, do both, smaller font size (but not too small).
Then you could change your left margin to match the subcategory. This would give your visitors the option of going through the rest of the subcategory, or changing their mind and traveling somewhere else within your site.
