It could have been new site bump if it was new article. If not i think you have to make a new one that is unique and try again.

I have seen some weird stuff as well. I will write an article, post it in my blog, and then social bookmark it.
It will show up on page on of Google for the keyword phrase it if I use basic SEO on the post. It will show up as a post for either Netscape of Digg. Then it may settle there or disappear.
About 2 weeks later it will show up as my blog url and a Google bookmark. If you are not bookmarking Google or Yahoo you may be missing out on future traffic.

I think now that google may considering it as duplicate content. Because the changed article probably got a new URL from ezine directory. Although the old version disappeared, but google probably remembered it.
There were ranking other pages that had the link to my article with just the headline, but my article has been banned from that search phrase.
