Post subject: Adsense eCPM

I have a very short experience with adsense, but I have already noticed a very tricky thing. Over the day, the ecpm usually drops as your visits go up.
I have posted a question at adsense forum, and someone replied that the rule of thumb is that the ecmp tends "intentionally" to drop as your page impressions raise.
It would mean that your final earnings always level out, since one positive factor is compensated by the ecpm drop.
Is there any truth in this?
This factor would make many people reconsider google ad system? don,t you think so?
Thank you, _________________ SightSeeing in Seville Spain

I think thats false. Your eCPM will stay roughly the same if you keep getting the same average amount of Clickthru's on average for every 1,000 impressions and they are earning you the same amount.
The most likely cause of the lowering in your eCPM rates is a lower CTR during certain parts of the day or lower earnings per click during certain parts of the day or even both. The main cause of this is most likely due to the user ability and advertisers spendings around the world. Don't forget that when the US is looking at your site, then your earnings per click is probably higher than when Asia is looking at your website and the people from different parts of the world have to sleep sometime, which is likely to cause differences in your eCPM rates. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

If you understand what eCPM is you'll realize that what you wrote makes no sense at all. _________________
