Hi Jared,

If you do a Google Search for FREE HTML LESSONS, you will find a number of sites that offer HTML instruction.

You can also find a free eBook on Sure Fire wealth called How to Build HTML at http://www.surefirewealth.com/products/31/1/130/index.html. You will need to sign up as a free member to download it.

Just some words of encouragement...good for you.

Despite the ease of creating a website with many editors and choices, learning HTML is a great idea. I learned it years ago and use MS Frontpage. I'm constantly pulling out my old knowledge and I use it on a daily basis...

Hi Jared,

This is not actually an ebook but it's free. It's one of my favourite resources on learning HTML and many other languages. I think it's easy to follow:

I started of with using htmlgoodies.com. I learned a lot of my basic html from there. Once I had learned that I put it to good use by creating my first site. The site was one of them sites that you could tell was designed by someone that was new to web designing, lol.

After that though I have now started developing better looking sites.

Nothing is better than learning from the developers themselves. Visit : http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/

It may not be an ebook but it's where all authors get things about html from.

Don't be afraid to use the "View Source" option in your browser, too.

As you learn HTML, you'll be able to better understand the code that is behind some of your favorite sites.

HTML can be a lot of fun. The key, I think, is to be willing to jump in ... have some fun ... and don't be afraid to experiment.

Hello,

I learned basic HTML doing searches on Google. Based on what I learned, I was able to build a couple of web sites. The only thing is that those websites where not optimized properly and it was a dead end when it came to traffic. You need to build your website that is geared to high ranking so you can get enough traffic to sustain your business.

What you need to do is to find a system that will not only allow you to build your website but that it will give you all the tools and information you need to get it built and optimized the proper way.

That's what I did after I built my 2 websites from scratch. Taking this route will save you lots of time and money.

Best regards,

Hector
