hello;
how can I find links for blog directories to ping my blog?
I want to automate the process and need to find links to blog directories.
I have visited couple of blog directories but could not figure it out how to find the link for autmatic pinging.

Here is the list I use for most of my WP blogs
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
http://1470.net/api/ping
[List balance deleted - please list useful items with appropriate information for each ... recommendations, not raw lists are recommended here - Moderator]

My apologies I don't know if you saw my longer list the moderator deleted it for some reason...Un known to myself as the list was a relevant list of what you requested not spam or links that benefited myself in any way shape or form. |

As I said to the article submission forum, a long list of available sites for any activity serves little purpose as these can be found using search engines. Just like the Yellow Pages.
Good advice would be a short list of recommended sites with reasons for the recommendation. That's of some benefit to the enquirers.
Sorry if you're not happy with that but it is my considered opinion - but I could be wrong.

Well I've crawled these forums for a long time and IMHO I doubt you're wrong... A forum this strong wouldn't stay this way without GOOD moderation..
My apologies if I seemed aggressive in my response... The truth is I don't know which one of the sites I ping with my WP blogs helps it out and which one sends it no traffic...hence why I posted the entire list of what I'd found.

That makes sense - thanks for the clarification.
Now it would now be great if others could come to the party here and make recommendations from their own experiences. This would benefit all.
As for the list iHenman posted, I'm sure a PM to him will get you the lot.
