Does anyone know if something has happened to SE expert Sumantra Roy?

I ask this because I bought a subscription to his KeywordCollector software on 10 August, believing that the inventor of KEI would produce something special, and the sales letter certainly seemed to back this up.

In any event, I downloaded the software and have never got it to work - every keyword I've entered pops up a response that there's "no record" for the word!

I've submitted three tickets to the specially set-up Helpdesk for which I had to register. The final one, marked "critical", requesting cancellation and a refund, was submitted on Aug 26. I'm still waiting for a response.

Prior to this I tried replying to the email I received with log-on details to the Helpdesk. I did at least get a response, from an Ian Smith, saying there had been an update for KeywordCollector and my problem would be solved if I upgraded to the latest version. So I downloaded this - all 33MB - but the problem persisted.

I then sent screenshots showing exactly what was happening and received another reply, on Aug 19, from Ian Smith saying: "I will check this up at my end and get back to you very soon".

After I heard nothing further from him, I requested the cancellation and refund. I must say I'm perplexed as have never experienced anything like this in 10 years of doing business over the Internet. Sumantra Roy, in the sales letter, promises "you will never be stranded without knowing what to do ..... I will be there with you every step of the way".

Now it's possible Sumantra Roy has suffered some family tragedy or other set-back that's behind all this, so I'm curious to know if anyone can throw some light on the matter or suggest other avenues of trying to make contact.
