Here is a list of over 200 article directories to submit to. The list was updated 11.11.205, so all the sites listed should be working. The directories are ordered by Google PR in different categories.
Free webmaster resources
(There is some other good free resources on the same page worth reading too. Especially Brad Callen's "SEO made easy")

set up first one with about 200 different categories. 2nd one is money-related only. last one is multi-category also - but used a different article script

I run a relatively new article site (in my signature box), not a huge number of articles yet, but growing, and pretty well indexed by Google.
When I add an article, I see it indexed in just a few days (I use Google Alerts to tell me when someone picks up my articles, and I find that my own site is usually one of the first to get hit, maybe because there aren't mega thousands of other articles for the spiders to wade through).

Hi everybody!
Makemoney, you can post articles and pick up fresh content free at my site found in my signature box! The site mostly caters to internet maketing, but I do have other various categories.
Also, articledashboard.com has about 200 new up and running free distribution sites. try them. You can do a bunch in a matter of minutes giving you good traffic and credibility.
