I've now been waiting 12 days for a merchant to approve me. A few days ago, I sent them an email through CJ, also no response. I've searched in vain throught CJ's website to try and figure out if there's some kind of maximum delay for a merchant to approve or reject you or to respond to emails.

Does anyone know anything more than I do? Or is it just they'll get to you when they get to you?

ya it happens to me number of times .. so merchant must reply e-mails. if they are not approving you means they dont respect you . so frankly i will not join any affiliate program who dont even reply e-mails

12 days is unacceptable.

I manually accept/decline our CJ applicants to the Date.com affiliate program every morning. There should be no lapse in time past 2 or 3 days for ANY advertiser.

Thank you for your response Sasha.

I've now sent an email to CJ directly to ask what their policies on this are. If I don't get a satisfactory reply, next step is an email to the merchant warning them they have one more chance to answer me or I will publish the full details and their name here.

It really sucks because I've been getting a bit of traffic that I could've easily sent to them and probably would have converted.

Just to let you all know, I received a reply today from the merchant in question. Very nice and even provided extra information. Now I know, always write an email in an excessive amount of time has passed!
