| Quote: | | Internet users who employ four-word keywords in search engines are more likely to purchase goods or services or receive items of value--such as white papers--than those using one, two, or three words, according to a new report. For Web-site operators, that means they should create three- and four-word phrases as metadata and keywords to attract visitors. |

Hi, Bobby,
I think you're right. Using 3 or 4 words in the keyphrase narrows the information search for more targeted results - bringing more highly qualified traffic to the site.
Interesting, though, about the dropoff after 4 words. Maybe at that point many searchers aren't sure how to phrase what they're looking for?

Interesting article - thanks for sharing. As well as higher conversion, there is another benefit of targeting 3 and 4 keyword phrases: less competition.
For example, if you target 'digital cameras' you will have a tough time getting high rankings, but if you target say 'panasonic digital cameras' or 'panasonic lumix digital cameras', you will have less competition to contend with AND the click will be more likely to convert into a sale as the buyer has probably already decided what make and/or model they want to buy. By targeting lots of 'lower hanging fruit' phrases you can still get a decent total amount of (higher converting) traffic rather than going for the juiciest cherry at the top of the tree (which is much harder to reach). _________________ AffiliateMax.com - Top 10 affiliate programs, resources + free hints & tips .
