Post subject: First Adwords campaign

I have started my first adwords campaign based on Greg Haslin's adwords 123 method.
My question is how long did it take for you to notice any results for your campaigns. _________________ Check out my blog. Just started it, and testing the water to see how it goes.

Hi Chris - I always set a test budget (eg:$20/$50 or whetever) and if I haven't made a profit after that I delete it and try something else. If it is for a product where you get a set amount of commission (eg: a Click bank ebook) and you have spent more than you would earn in commission for a sale,, then it may be time to consider another product. Or you could set a number of clicks (say 100) and if you haven't made a sale after 100 clicks then consider trying something else. Are you running 2 ads at a time and split-testing them to increase your CTR (clickthrough rate)? _________________ AffiliateMax.com - Top 10 affiliate programs, resources + free hints & tips .

I have about 4 or 5 ad groups running, and at least 2 ads per group.
I am wondering if setting up a landing page will see me get more results from my campaign?
I currently just have the destination url set as the merchants' url. _________________ Check out my blog. Just started it, and testing the water to see how it goes.

At least if you have a landing page you can offer a subscription to a newsletter based on your target audience ... if you don't make the immediate affiliate sale you have something more valuable, an email address and a potential customer for many similar products and services you can expose them to via your newsletter. Once they get to trust you they will likely be more willing to buy something. _________________ Adsense Help Blog |

I have five campaigns, and it has taken around a month to see real results. _________________ www.theholzworthgroup.com |

When I first got into the adwords game it took a couple of months to see results. This last time around I definately took my time did alot of research using various keyword tools. I think the key is definately a landing page. Having the oppurtunity to sell to a potential customer before they visit the merchant is invaluable.
