Post subject: CBmall Should I do it
|
|
|
I want to get started as an affiliate marketer. I have a few site ideas and working them out. Through my research, I learned that I will have to pay for advertising, but a little short on cash (unemployed). I also learned that I can make money using CBMall, but in order for that to work, guess what, I have to pay for advertising (pay per click). I really don't know where to start?
Does anyone have any suggestions and what were your experiences with CBmall?
Thanks for your input |

I think the people most likely to make money with something like CBMall are very experienced marketers.
Here's a post I wrote on how to make money on the Internet when you're flat broke. Been there, done that.

I'd choose a topic first of all. I don't know more about your interest, but I think you'll find many various topics covered in clickbank vast product database. All from health issues, nutrition, software, marketing, dvd/cd/games downloads, etc. When you find your theme, build a site about it, try to add as much useful content as possible and then promote it wherever you are. Use signatures at forums, in your email conversations, instantbuzz ads, free online directories and I'm sure you'll attract quite "a bit" visitors to your site. And try to use a bit of search engine optimization techniques (you'll find tips on doing that in many places, forums, etc.) That applies in general, not only for your CBmall. I myself would however focus on one or just a few products on my site, but with CBmall you can list quite a long range of products to choose from. It has cons and pros, sure.

i've just joined cbmall - it seems to have lots of ways to generate sales - and great for newbies - i did the free 15 day email course first. (see below).
Remember as you pay through clickbank you won't have a problem getting a refund if you don't think it's for you.
There are other ways to advertise other than pay per click. They may seem a bit daunting at first but remember you have to start somewhere - all the guru's did! you receive info to help with advertising when you join. Also whatever internet business you decide on you'll need to advertise it so may as well learn one day.
Another good (free) course for affiliate programs is the Affiliate Masters Course. Definately worth checking out. sorry don't have a link but it is a sitesell.com course.
All the best

Allan, this response generates another question. I have a free site provided by my ISP. The problem with going straight into business with it, though, is that the TOS appears to restrict advertising of any kind. So, at this point I'm guessing that I'll need to move the site, or create a new one, on a different server. Or is there a way around this problem that I'm not aware of without moving/re-inventing the site? |

If your free site won't allow advertising, leave your free site where it is, and start a new site with a new host. You can link from your old site to your new site, but don't overdo such links or you may get penalized. _________________ Allan Gardyne

| I thought I'd end up doing something like that. It's probably the best solution, there's certain things that I'd like to run as is on the present site and running a business on it changes things substantially. |

I think CB Mall can work for you if you traget a particular niche eg. weight loss ebook or Golf ebooks.
Then you can target those niches and your customers will have more
choices when it comes to buying.
You know your visitors are interested in weight loss or golf, so just give them a few options, just like they would if they walked into a bookshelf.
I don't know, but I find people tend buy when they are presented a choice, I think when in that position we tend to feel like weare in control of making the purchasing decision.
Just my thoughts, hope that helps! _________________ Top 500 Blogs Online, Get Listed Today...

Most ISP's which provide you webspace don't permit you use it for commercial purposes. |

Post subject: Advice for CB Mall
|
|
|
CB Mall is a waste of time and money..... here's one of the important things to keep in mind regarding this offer: Jeff Mulligan created a website that cleverly leads one to believe that he is on your side and is willing to offer you all the support in the world. Here's my experience with him: I had questions for him prior to signing up for the program... and ALL I ever got was automated responses... I'm talking days and days and days later, Jeff Mulligan NEVER replied. You get the same thing: an automated message that says something like "Hi (your name), I got your message about CB MALL and I find that a lot of people ask the same questions...." then the email directs you to a place where you enter your "key" to open the forum... and "abracadabra!" there's the page with no answer to your question.... then you write him at one of his other email addresses... and gues what? You get the same thing...
I've had experience with 1st promotion too, as I've mentioned in one of my other entries... communication with these guys is rotten, too. It's an attractive idea that leads one to hope that it's a breakthrough for making money on the web. You CAN make money on the web... these guys know this, obviously, since they're selling these useless programs.
INVEST IN SOMETHING LEGITMATE -
CB MALL and 1st PROMOTION ARE TRASH... and the people who own them are liars. |

I have to say, I disagree with Starfire1125, too. I find Jeff Mulligan very responsive and very helpful whenever I have contacted him for any reason...whether it was pre-sales or after-sales, or just in general. I have had CBMall for about 6 months and have made a trunk-load of money from it....so much so that I feature it and recommend it to affiliate marketers on my TwoPercentClub website and offer a 25% rebate to anyone who invests in it. It's a great product!

People that make money with something like CBmall are experienced marketers. They own websites with heavy traffic.
The key in online business success is to find your targeted market, attract them to your website, and entice them to subscribe to your email list, build relationship and give them what they want.
Making money online needs persistence, patience and hard work...
First build your virtual home which is your website where you will receive visitors. Let them know about you to trust you and buy from you. Then and only then give them what they want and they will buy from you with no question asked. _________________ Work At Home Start Up Guide blog is a step-by-step tutorial designed to help work at home moms, dads, retired and students with passions, expertise or willingness to learn and strong desire to succeed, but can’t get their based business home start!
