Several weeks ago, I noted that Google had a statement on their home page indicating, " Searching 8,058,044,651 web pages"
Well, it's now February 3, 2005 and that same number is posted. What are the odds they search the exact same number of web pages today as they did over a month ago?
Someone with the appropriate skills needs to help them out by developing a dynamic counter that can keep up -

It's February 11, 2005, and Google is still stuck on that same number - "Searching 8,058,044,651 web pages"
It looks like Google has reached its capacity.
Would someone mind taking a few pages down and asking Google to remove them so I can get a few pages in?

I think google posted that almost immediately after MSN search posted their 4 billion some odd number.
Kind of a kick in the face to Microsoft. _________________ Home Based Business Opportunity - Start working from home now! |

That might have been the reason.
But the joke is on Google in the end if they can't even keep their main page reasonably up to date. As of today, that same static number is being displayed.
