Post subject: Is CJ even worth it?
|
|
|
Good day,
I'm just now looking for affiliate programs to join and I'm finding quite a few of the attractive ones are run through Commission Junction. However, as I read through the posts here, I find more and more unfavourable reviews of CJ as time goes on -- sales not being credited for months in a row, money mysteriously disappearing from accounts, etc. On the other hand Ebay.com's affiliate program uses CJ and it looks as though people are making money, so CJ must be doing something right. Still, given the bad reviews, I'm wondering if I should even bother joining CJ. Should I just avoid them and save myself the grief? Should I try it for a month and if anything suspicious happens, stop using them?
Any advice much appreciated! Thank you! |

None of the networks are perfect, but CJ are long established and popular.
Remember that people tend to post complaints rather than just say how wonderful everything is. It's just human nature.
As with all complaints - especially realtively anonymous ones - take them in context.
Just my opinion,

Thank you for your replies.
To Charlie:
Yes, I know what you mean. People generally don't post just to say "I love [network X]!"
And, of course, I don't expect perfection. I started looking into Shareasale, too, and the problem there seems to be merchants frequently going "temporarily offline". Every network's got its quirks. After a little more poking around at this site, though, I've decided to give CJ a go.
Thanks again for the advice! |

I have never had a problem with cj. And when I do have a question I post it online and usually have an answer within 24-48 hours.
Even better, their traffic stats and mine usually match quite well. _________________ Business hosting for less than $10 per month. This is just my take on search engine marketing. |

Well there are some problems associated with CJ as follows.
1st. they can extend transactions that is delay your payment for one month /
2nd. they charge $25 or $50 (foreign draft) if cheque lost in mail .
3rd. there are 2-3 sales that r not credited in my account even if i know peoples personally who have purchased.. it can be either cookies problem or CJ internal problem however there stats are always delayed.
i would not recommend you to join CJ . specially if you are not from usa .
however i m still promoting CJ cause one of the biggest compnies of world are associated with CJ . but the thing i dont like is . wait for months for payment ..... they dont pay promptly .
try publisher network of advertising.com its better that CJ
these are just my views |

Hi,
I am not contradicting anyone statement but this is my experience with cj.
If you provide all the necessary informations as required, payment should not be a problem. When my total commission is over US$100, I usually receive my check within 12 days from their cutoff date i.e 20th of every month and I am from Asia.
We tend to feel uneasy and suspicious of sales not being credited or no sales especially when we have a high ctr. There are many ways thing can go wrong but it's very hard to determine them. We have no choice but to rough it out unless you have concrete proof of sales but not credited in your cj account.
All in all I still find cj to be the best among the others, except you need to monitor frequently on expired advertisers or expired links.
Thank you. _________________ OAA - Opportunity All Around

i have requested them to send me cheque by fedex but they did not sent it and also told me that they will deduct $25 if cheque is lost in mail . on the other hand advertising.com send me cheque of about $70 via DHL and they did not charge DHL cost ....thats y i m trying to say is publisher network of advertising .com is very helpful . so i think thats the network worth look . those who r not happy with CJ must look at them ... |
