| Well I have found a much better tool to create RSS Feeds at http://www.rapidfeeds.com/... It's really amazing that such service exists and these guys charge you nothing! I tried it and i loved it! It's really a breeze to create feeds here... it took me less than 2 minutes to create a valid feed!!! Keep up the good work RapidFeeds! |

I tried to use Feed For All to put another sites RSS feed on my .html site but gave up after a couple hours. I tried another site that used Javascript and it worked instantly.
Could use some help because I really wanted to use the .html convert option on Feed For All so the spiders would come to my site more often.

Thanks for helping. The problem I'm having is that after I've uploaded the .php file to the server I can't find directions on what to do next.
1. Do I copy the XML codes from the site of my choice and paste it directly into my webpage? Tried it and it was just messy codes.
2. Do I put the codes into the .php file?
The javascript was simple copy and paste on my site...and violla the feed was done. But I want the spiders to come to my site. So... I know I'm missing an important step in the XML process.
I did check out the Feed For All forum and did find a .HTML post but the person solved his problem without listing the details.
This is totally new for me, so...I looking for a clear step-by-step guide in simple language how to put XML on an .HTML page.
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Essentially you create an html web page using markers to insert the RSS data where you want
For example you use ~~~FeedTitle~~~ and the PHP script will automatically insert the actual feed title into the .html page where ever the ~~~FeedTitle~~~ appears in the page.

I have used carp from carp.com. This works well several formats. I also display google and yahoo news. THis was referred to me from another member at this forum...
The other program that I have used is rss2html.php (if you search this on google, you will find it). This worked well with blooger feed but first you have to burn blogger.com feed at feedburner.com and then you will be display on your website.. |

In any case, I was wondering if having an RSS feed really is beneficial? I have had a RSS feed on a previous site, and it seems that none of the traffic that came into my site was from my feeds  |
