I've recently started promoting two quality ClickBank ebooks via Google AdWords. I've carefully picked relevant keywords and crafted compelling ads, clearly stating "what's behind the ad".
So far I got 170 clicks and no sales. I wonder if I'm just unlucky (and tomorrow there will be like 10 sales ), or maybe Clickbank has some delay between a sale and a commission for that sale? |

Most people complain they can't get the clickthroughs, but at least they don't have to pay.
Are you split testing different ads with the same landing page and different landing pages with the same ad?
"Clearly stating what's behind the ad" is a relative judgement from a cloudy vantage point...
Do you know what sort of CR others are getting for the products?
That said, the sample is still small.
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

So I'm a bit different here.

Actually, I'm not into landing pages yet. I'm just redirecting through cloaked affiliate links. Soon I'll test landing pages combined with e-mail address capturing.

A sample ad:
Incredible Lawn In 4 Days
or less - for 67% less money? Get
tips from the lawn care expert! aff
NewLawnIn4Days.com
I think it's pretty compelling, benefit-rich and clearly states what's behind it. I'll test the variant with a given price too (it will decrease the CTR, but - supposedly - increase the CR).
Oh, and for this example the chosen keywords are connected with lawn care, grass planting, landscape design, backyard design etc.
I'll keep you informed. |

Well, it doesn't look too great, to be honest. Maybe I'm just unlucky with the products, but it seems like my little AdWords promotion brought in zero results so far.
My conclusions:
1.
One of my two campaigns is promoting a *** advice product. 250 clicks, no sales. I wonder if this might be because my prospects are not ready to buy (maybe they're not looking for any kind of paid info)?
2.
Second campaign (lawn care advice): 70 clicks, struggling to get more, also no sales. I'll carefully expand the keyword list and test some more. The prospects should be definitely more willing to buy than in campaign 1.
Any thoughts, some advice maybe? |

Try different products. I think *** advice and lawn care advice would be tough sells because there's so much free info available on both. I generally give a campaign about 500 clicks before making a decision on whether or not to pull it. Any data sample smaller than that could deviate quite a bit from what you could actually expect over a larger data sample. _________________ Affiliate Marketing Programs Blog

Wise words, thank you. But what do you mean by "different products". I understand that you mean those with "not so much free info available".
Could you give some example areas? |

Dear Fr3z3r,
I've started my Adwords campaign a few days ago; I started the campaign in very low scale (I set my daily budget at $5) but surprisingly I got my first sale today.
Maybe I am just lucky but I really hope that this stuff works forever for me.
Hopefully your Adwords campaign will bring fruits to you too. _________________ Stop Losing: No Nonsense Soccer Picks
