Post subject: Google PR Update...and dropped Rank?

Hey all...looks like google is in the middle of a PR update, and the little green bar is moving.
For myself...most of my pages have dropped, and even this site, associateprograms.com, seems to have gone from a 7 to a 6.
But...it's not over yet...so maybe some of the new pages we've all put up will start to show their green bar now...

Yes we are in the middle of an update. Many PR7s and PR6s have dropped in PR. Is this perhaps due to Google's larger index or have they just raised the bar?
I'm not really fussed about the PR drop though... it's the SERPs that matter  |

Yep, I haven't seen any change in SERPs, so no biggie.

PR is constantly updated all the time behind the scenes. It's the display of PR that is being updated. Google knows what your PR is even when the toolbar is blank. That's why there haven't been changes in the SERP's.

Exactly, and yet some people don't realize this yet.
I did finally get my first PR 6, though.

When the toolbar PR changed to 6, there was no noticeable jump in SERP, because internally, Google has had this PR level for a while.
And it's been gradually building, link by link. I could speculate any change, but it would be very hard to do.

Yay, got my first green bar... PR3 but at least it doesn't show PR0 any more, this should be helpful with link exchanges...

Two of my sites stayed the same... two new sites (less than 2 months old) picked up a 3 and 4 respectively. One site dropped from a 3 to a 2. But it is a dead site right now... due to be revamped in the near future.

I finally saw some green (PR3) on my site, Yayyy! 
But before I see the same color in my wallet, I need to get some SERP too. Wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I am nowhere in natural search.
