Sell domain names is a loss leader. Just like the Coke and Pepsi at Wal-mart. You don't make a profit on it... you usually make a small loss. You just use it to entice people to buy the other items you have (web hosting, web design, email packages, etc).

Yes, but not everyone has a business they have developed an affiliate program for and have 56 people who want websites hosted and will sign up with your host site. At my profit level of $1.55 per site I'll generate $86.80 per month. With the domain registration they will have to do I'll make my $99 back in the first month. Works for me. |

Ahh, Great Idea
My only problem is that I found they dont offer enough bandwidth for my sites and you have to upgrade for cgi.

I am using Host4Profit and I have absolutely no complaints. Their control panel is very user friendly which helps in keeping your site updated. Another words you don't have to be an electrical engineer to update a page!!
However, I wouldn't recommend using them to register a domain...they wanted $30.00 for something that I did for 8.95 and transferred the domain!
