Bobby,

Even if the article on your site doesn't rank as high as the copier's site, your article is still receiving views and if it has a footer with your URL in it (mandatory) then the targeted traffic will click to your site after reading your very informative article. Wink

Also, you will be receiving a free incoming link because of that article's footer. If dup. content is a big issue, then only publish the broader topic articles and leave the really nichey stuff on your site to gain rankings. The broader topics will get picked up by the various website portals that receive a ton of traffic from their varying sources which should result in some great targeted visitors to your site(s).

rlray216, great post on the Casino affiliate realm. Very Happy

If I write original content on my site, why would I need to include a footer with my URL in it to get traffic to my site - the reader is already on my site or he couldn't read my content??? I think you're assuming the only issue is some type of article written for distribution.

Or you can distribute the article with the URL in the footer and remove the URL on the article on your site. Wink

I'm more thinking if they copied your article from your site, not so much the actual copy from your site. If they have copied some of the pre-selling content or just general content on your site, I would first send a frightening e-mail to stop and if that doesn't work, contact ISP or hosting company.

You're right, I was assuming it was for article distribution only.
