Mike!
That was AWESOME! Thanks very much for a great reminder about goals, priorities and pure stick-to-it-ivness. I'm making progress but it's slower than I'd like. I'm going to take a page from your book and set the bar higher.
Sounds sort of like something I've heard James say in the Buzz...the concept of collapsing timeframes. You have something to do that you think will take a week? Do it today. A month? Do it this week. A year? Do it this month. Work tends to expand to fill the time alloted. Collapse the timeframe and see how much more you can accomplish.
BTW, for that post you get TWO gmail accounts! (Just kidding, but if you do need one just drop me a PM...I've still got plenty).
Warm regards,

Allan,
Just to say Thank You!!!
You're correct -- Mike did write a great post! Your forum is full of smart, great, wonderful people --- including yourself that try to help others.
I've personally spoke with Mike on several occasions and he it just as positive and helpful LIVE! He truly wants to help others, and give back what he has learned. That's is one of the beautiful things about this forum -- people sharing.
Mike sets a great example for us all!
Thank You again for giving all of us a place to exchange, disagree, learn, stretch, and grow our business.

Wow!
Thanks so much to everyone for all the kind words.
I'm just happy if I can help someone else out there, the way others have helped me in the past.
And ironically enough, two of the people who have helped me the most over the years are Gary and Allan.
I found Allan's site late in 1999, and have hung around ever since, soaking up info like a sponge. When he reorganized his forum in 2003, I jumped in and met Gary, who has been consistently positive, supporting and encouraging as well.
There are loads of great people here willing to offer help and advice whenever asked. New people come in all the time genuinely interested in learning more.
It's that kind ongoing, cyclical relationship that has developed on this board that keeps me happily coming back.
Thanks again,

I thought your post was great and inspiring, too
I just found this board last month and it's really been encouraging hearing from other people venturing into the daunting but open frontier of affiliate marketing.
This forum does have some of the nicest and most helpful people around. I too want to say thanks, Allan, for being sooo informative with this site and super nice as well. It's all been so helpful in getting me started on my own AM sites.

Hey Mike,
Great post!
"Obligation" reminds me of Charles Dickens writing and self-publishing "A Christmas Carol" in a matter of weeks in order to be in time for Xmas...and so to feed his family. Sold 6000 or so copies pronto, I believe.
The psychology behind committment and obligation is fascinating.
Looks like you have a winning angle on applying it for profitable use!
