Hi all

I am just starting to add a couple of affiliate links to my site and need some definition advice.

Impressions - from what I understand this in when a visitor lands on a page that has a link to an affiliate (in my case a text link) Am I correct?

Click Throughs - and when that visitor clicks on my affiliate link and is taken to the affiliate page that's a click through.

My affiliate partner is managed through linkshare. They have a nice reporting system but I see different numbers for impressions and click throughs depending on what report I select. (general report and sales and activity report.) Confused

Thanks.

It is possible to worry too much about this stuff. I tend to measure success by the checks I actually receive Smile

Thanks Allan, my background is engineering! I tend to over analyze a bit sometimes.

If you're building something people work in, walk on, etc. that's probably a GOOD thing!
