Calvin, I'm a little lost on what you mean here ... even Charlie's post aside ... I don't see where any "clique" action here was taken against newsguy ... quite the opposite in fact and the poster who tried to "out" newsguy has been a registered member here longer than newsguy has ...

Debs -
I was on a rant in reaction to the rude dissing of Newsguy.
I apologize.
Even though I saw where he was defended, I freaked out at the rudeness that the originator of the complaint was showing to someone who, even though they were cross posting, was participating in the thread.
So I became rude too. That wasn't very nice of me, especially since the matter had been settled awhile ago.
It doesn't matter if Charlie has been a member longer than Newsguy, that doesn't excuse the arrogance that Newsguy must post only original questions in this forum, or answer questions in this forum.
When Newsguy posts the same exact question to multiple forums, he has the opportunity to get multiple points of view, and I see that as worthwhile when a person is trying to gain some knowledge.
Charlies reaction showed an ethocentricity that caused me to freak out. I used the clique word based on my reaction to the ethnocentricity I saw. Again, I want to apologize to the forum and everyone else for an undirected rant. |

Are you mixing me up with somebody else? I'm pretty sure you are.
My last post was written after yours and I thought I was hypothetically agreeing with you on some of the downsides of cliques.
The one before that (in November) was about Planet Ocean.
I can't remember ever even mentioning NewsGuy at all.
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

I didn't go back and look at who wrote the did. I picked up that Debs was referring to you as the disser.
I seem to be digging myself into a deeper hole.
Piddle. |

No, my reference was that I didn't understand what you meant, even after reading Charlie's post replying to yours.

I had a feeling that might have been the case...
It's OK, I was 99% sure it wasn't me, it's just I was worried someone else might be reading.

The very thought!
Cheers,
Charlie.
