I have an educational website that is very highly trafficked by okids/teachers/parents.

I need to get some educational ads on...I have ad sense but of late they are serving me very targeted but very low paying text ads .

Ad networks I have tried serve lots of flashy innapropriate banners that are offensive. Some like fastclick are a nightmare to keep up with meaning that they add ads every minute of every day and you have to be in there continually to monitor placements. Even with a filter on I still get things I have to shut off!

Does anyone know of an ad network that serves educational, social conscious and childrens ads that can safely be placed on a childrens educational site?

You might consider signing up with LinkShare. They seem to have some programs that might interest you like Edmund Scientific ("Selling Products that Inspire Discovery, Wonder and Learning since 1950.") and others.

The nice thing about affiliate programs is that you decide what banner goes on your site. Most companies will offer a broad selection and you pick the one that suits your site the best. Most programs have some more flashy ones and some rather plain and simple ones. Also, there's the prospect of using text links as your ads. I don't know how familiar you are with affiliate programs, so you may already be aware of this.

Anyway, I hope that helps.
