Here is how drop shipping on ebay is supposed to work:
1. Sign up on the drop-shipper's Web site to sell their merchandise on eBay or in your Web store.
Be sure you've checked out their terms before you sign up ? to be sure there's no minimum purchase upon signing up.
2. Select the items from their inventory that you wish to sell.
For this example, say the item you select costs $6.99. The supplier gives you descriptive copy and photographs to help make your sales job easier.
3. Post the item online and wait (fidgeting with anticipation) for someone to buy it.
By the way, you'll be selling this item for $19.99 plus shipping.
4. As soon as your buyer pays for the item, e-mail the drop-shipper (or fill out a special secure form on their Web site) and pay for the item with your credit card or PayPal.
5. Relax while the drop-shipper ships the item to your customer for you.
6. If all goes well, the item arrives quickly and safely.
but of course we all know the potential pitfalls of an industry like this one;
coping with out-of-stock, unreliable, not on time delivery. Also, the condition of the product is sometimes unacceptable like in Greg's case (he wrote a fascinating post in this thread, a must read)
I don't even mention the number of middleman who just call themselves wholesalers. This industry has a long way to go before it becomes legit. _________________ Learn the methods, techniques and strategies I use to make $4000 a month working from home on the Internet. No hype! Chris Malta's company is very good! I have had both the Drop Ship Source Directory and the Market Research Wizard for some time now and it helped me get my own drop ship business started. His tools, articles, radio show, and other resources have proven invaluable to me. _________________ If you've seen through GRQ and can't grow with SEO, try SBI!

Hi all
I just registered & I am in search of free drop ship & wholesales lists on websites. With a database they maintain and they constantly update it & you also able to search their database.
I have found one though http://www.expressdropship.com, by the looks of its pretty new, at current it has over 200 dropshippers & wholesalers form UK, USA, China, Australia & many other countries & they have over 60 different categories of products.
Whats got me buffled is how are they able to do this, most websites I have had to pay for membership but they have given some good leads @ the cost of nothing. I got my free supplier membership which actually allows me to create categories and also list my site with full HTML description & all I had to do was download the new Firefox from Google through their website and my instant membership button was ready after 15min to register and get full access.
If you know any other sites or companies that have a database with free membership please let me know as this one is already acting as a great benefit.
Much appreciated
Harry

Dropshipping could be a good income venture - well, it depends if you have the money, of course.
The moeny may seem promising, but if you don't have the money and are just starting out - broke and a newbie - the details might be overwhelming. You can't deal with legit dropshippers if you don't have the necessary papers. And the internet is swamped with illegit wholesalers and dropshippers promising you thousands of dollars...
My advice to you is this. If this is your planned way of making money online, you should investigate first on the start up costs you should shoulder to make it a reality. Starting a store could be expensive. There's the webhost, the dropship fees, ebay listing fees, bank papers, etc...
Scour on the internet on what one should do to successfully run a store. Luckily I have this link stored in my computer. You can read it if you like
Of course you should read, read, and read more aside from that.
And, deal only with legit dropshippers! The owner of dropshipsource.com has earned a reputation for creating a list of legit dropshippers. I have once purchased it but I decided it wasn't my way of making money online, but from my POV the list is comprehensive.
