Post subject: JM's Searchable database - no longer searchable?
|
|
|
Hi,
Over the past few days I've tried to use James' searchable database several times.
http://www.jamesmartell.com/support.html?action=search
However, its now in a new format and asks for an "Issue ID #". It's no longer accepting normal search queries - for eg, "google pagerank".
Plus, I submitted a query to him about this issue via his contact form on the same site, but it's bounced back saying it's undeliverable. Is there some (transient) issue? Or am I missing something?
I'm a purchaser of his manual and I haven't received any email from him about any changes.
Any idea what's up?
Thanks and best regards,
San |

I had the same problem with the support search being, well, unsearchable.
It's an IE issue (imagine that ). They said at the time they were trying to figure it out but that was several weeks ago and nothing appears to be fixed yet. All you have to do to be able to access it is to fire up another browser like Netscape or Mozilla and you'll be able to search the database just fine.
I don't know about the contact email thing. It was a day or so before they got back to me when I emailed asking about it but it went through ok (that's been awhile ago).
Oh, and check the updates page in about a week for a new update on keyword density.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
For those of you who cannot wait for the database to get fixed, I have a solution. Use the link below. The FAQ and Search feature will work.
Note: Tested on Win XP and IE version 6.
