Hi all,

I just finished reading this entire post - and I was absolutely disgusted. I have HUNDREDS of hoplinks all over my websites and my ebooks.

So I visited the page you all pointed me to and found this on the second question on ClickBanks page (http://clickbank.com/kount.html)

Does this mean my old hoplinks are going to expire?

No. Your hoplinks will not expire. Rest assured that all of your "hop.clickbank.net" hoplinks will continue to work regardless of any new features we introduce in the future.

So now I'm confused. All the previous posts say 'doom and gloom', but Clickbank say "nope, all's good".

Huh???
Sad

Hello Lea.

Basically affiliates went wild when the "provisoonal" details were made available by ClickBank, and as a result they seem to have changed their minds considerably.

The page you viewed has changed at least once. Many of the posts in this thread referred to the original content (which has now changed considerably).

I, for one, am sure that existing links will turn out to work OK with the new system, once everything is put in place. The new style links will still be better for affiliates to use though - mainly because they will be less easy to modify and commissions will be more secure.

This is a good reason for the changes. The only real problem has been communication, I think.

Hope this helps,
Charlie.
