Wow!
I don't want the gmail account.
About 3 weeks ago I didn't see nothing on the Internet about gmail. But from then onwards that's all I'm seeing is people giving away free invitations.

Spare gmail? Looks like something worth a shot. If you still happen to have it, I would take it off your hands for ya. Lord knows I could definately use that extra storage space. Thanks either way.

*update on the gmail invitations*
I've still got plenty left if there's anyone else that wants one. These things have a tendancy to multiply if you've had them awhile and I've got lots.
You will have to send me your email address in a private message for me to be able to send you the invitation. I promise I won't be using your email for any nefarious purposes. 
I'm glad to be able to share these with forum members. I really appreciate everything I have learned and continue to learn here.

I just signed up for the Gmail account from a friend's invite...so far, I am pretty impressed.
Primarily, it seems like my emails are getting through those filters that Hotmail/Yahoo are employing. So, it seems like Google is doing something right, that other email providers haven't...

 Dont mean too sound "Dunm"? But what is gmail??
I have heard this phrase in allot of areas but no real explaination of what this is??

Gmail is web mail by Google. It's like hotmail on steroids. 
Here is the spiel that comes with your account:
- 1,000 megabytes (one gigabyte) of free storage
- Built-in Google search that instantly finds any message you want
- Automatic arrangement of messages and related replies into
"conversations"
- Text ads and related pages that are relevant to the content of your
messages
I haven't been using it all that much but it has come in handy a few times. I'm sort of surprised it's still in beta. You have to get an invitation from someone who has gmail to sign up. I would have thougth they'd have opened it up by now. I got mine in early June and it had been in beta for a while then.

Just to clarify, I've still got plenty of gmail invitations if anyone wants any. The reason I have so many is because I was selling them on eBay until Google changed their TOS and made it against their rules to sell an invitation. People who got in early made a killing but even I was able to make well over $100 in June (hey, every little bit helps). As soon as I found out about the change, I pulled my auctions and that was that.
So, I've got many extra I'll never use that I'll be glad to give anyone that asks (until they're gone).

How did you get email thru. Google that allows you to invite others like
that??

I haven't really figured it out but it apparently the more you use your gmail account, the more invitations show up for you to give out...sort of. I say sort of because sometimes you don't get any. I'm really not sure how they allot them....it seems almost random. Sometimes you get three and sometimes six and if you don't give them away you don't get any more. I have several accounts so I have gotten a bunch of invitations.
