hi all,
I applied to Commission Junction and was approved instantly. I am not from US. I got a email from CJ that contains the following form:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf
They asked me to fill in the form and fax it back to them. BUt for the section 6: " US tax payer indentification number, if required(see instructions), with two check box : "SSN or ITIN" and "EIN". I am confused about this section. Initially i thought this form is sent to non US affiliate to apply for EIN number. and how they are requesting for EIN number? where should i apply then?

I found the form a bit confusing too.
The way I read it, "if required" means "if applicable" and it doesn't aply to you, so just leave that bit blank. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Yes. I've always filled in the absolute minimum in the form and never had any problems. _________________ Allan Gardyne
