Post subject: Most needed SW tool
|
|
|
I wonder: What kind of SW tool do you need most on your desktop?
What is it you do not have, that you most would like to see?
What would help you the most, if you could get that piece of SW?
PDF tools/brander SW?
Export/import of email listings (from SBI!?) and autoresponders?
What is the most helpful tool you DO use (apart from SBI! )? _________________ DatabaseDesigner

Hi Alf,
Your site is looking better all the time.
Thought I'd get your thread going here.
Doesn't "anybody" want a custom SW tool designed by Alf.
Could you please develop the Alfexa Web Search.
A tool that can be customized to be Bigger and Better than Alexa.
With more accurate readings and features including when I enter/click on a particular site I would like to get a listing of the top 10-30 competing sites/resources so I don't have to individually Google my way through internet land. Build in customizable features so I can modify it to make it my own personalized search tool.
Now, what will the release date for the Alfexa Web Search tool be
Thank you very much.
All the best

I forgot to answer the 2nd question.
Most helpful tools for me are all the Google type Watchers/Alerts etc. etc. But no tool can do what I described above.
All the best

| If I could click a shortcut button on my desktop and an application opened that somehow logged into all of my control panels for my various web sites and retrieved the referral logs/sitestats, that would be very cool. =) |

Phil,
Thanks! (On all accounts You're a great guy )
And yes, now you can SEE who you're talking to. A bit of a treshold to step over...
Great ideas, also from you, Sicarius
I can actually do that...
But if you can give me more dream-like wishes, I can probably help you much more.
At present, I am thinking about a tool for helping webmasters generate more income:
What if I could give your website the best downloadable products from clickbank, and giving you all the commision, would you subscribe to such a service?
Is there any other tool you would like to have that would make you more income?
Think I am trying to figure out ways that would generate money for you _________________ DatabaseDesigner

This forum must be visited only by high-performing, highly profitable sites that do not need more income
I challenge you once more: What kind of tool would be most useful to you for generating a much higher income I really like you to think about how your income stream could be enhanced. _________________ DatabaseDesigner

Okay Alf,
How about SW that gave you the keywords/phrases that people used when they actually bought.
You enter - keyword - and out comes a list of the phrases, used over the last month that preceded a sale. Not just the phrases used to search, for information, to tyrekick etc. but were used by actual purchasers.
Now I know that the keywords/phrases are not the only factors involved by a long chalk, but...
SW like that would be rather useful
All the best,
Larry Chamberlain. _________________ Why Do Most Affiliates Make Less Than $500 Per Month?

Larry,
Now we're getting somewhere What do you REALLY miss that could make you a lot of money
The Alfexa package is a bit far-fetced (although I like both the concept and the product name ), as I would have to set up a huge tracking server, but apart from that: What do you need to make a pile of money _________________ DatabaseDesigner

Alf,
Glad your enjoying the idea.
Now, http://www.alexa.com is taken But add an F for Fabulous and http://www.alfexa.com is available for You to Brand yourself. Bet the search engines would love you without any trade mark problems.
Regarding...
What if I could give your website the best downloadable products from clickbank, and giving you all the commision, would you subscribe to such a service?
I'd love to hear more on this. Are you aware of all the Click Bank type and other product finders that are out there like Affiliate Alert etc. etc.
We also know that Click Bank needs some solid competition But "nobody" is really interested.
European SW specialists are developing some amazing products. Many are predicting that the European market for all kinds of Niche sites will be Huge.
I am putting on my SW idea finder/money maker so let's keep this thread going.
All the best

It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it comes close... Have you tried RevTrends? I can get you a two-week trial for nothing. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I know, and Allan is advertising two of them. They are both a bit shortcoming, I think: There are some great improvements possible.
As for Google API: Yes I know. Here is from their terms of use:
"The Google Web APIs service is made available to you for your personal, non-commercial use only (at home or at work). "
OK... Guess I could write something for myself, but I'm not allowed to share it with a price tag to it...
The point of my thread here is: What would you find so useful for generating aff. income that you would subscribe to such a tool, especially if all aff.income was directed to you (as a couple of free tools don't do)?
As for Alfexa.com: Guess I'd be busy with the lawyers. _________________ DatabaseDesigner

Amazing!
Better keep my mouth shut then
Allan: Proof the the rewrite now places topics into Google ranking.
I know there are several tools out there. The question is as you say Phil, that new twist.
The thinking cap is on.
As for Google API: There's lots more to it than the average webmaster is aware of. Will be looked into... _________________ DatabaseDesigner
