Post subject: What about buying links?
|
|
|
| I was reading that if someone with a site with a PR of 5 were to buy a link from a site with a PR of 8, then that would cause the PR 5 site to achieve a PR of 6. Is this true? Also, is buying a link from a PR 8 site safe, and would it help? Help is very much appreciated. |

You might even get a PR 7 depending how many other outgoing links are on their PR 8 page... The problem is most of these places are not cheap and sell links by the month, and it may take two or three months for Google to even calculate in the link and do a PR update. And of course, once the link goes away, so does your PR...
As far as being safe, well nothing is really guaranteed in this game. Sorry, that's probably not the answer you want to hear;) |

While it may be beneficial, it may not help at all. Some search, particulary Goggle, blocks links for certain web sites (some deserved to be block, some don't). So before you do buy links be sure that it really will help you, I believe AssociatePrograms.com had a link to show you who it block, etc., at least it will give you more information. _________________ Auto Posts 2 Your Blog | IGenerate More Traffic 4 your site|

Think of links as driving traffic to your site. Gather incoming links that will move traffic to your site, not PR. That is the way to think about links. This is especially true when buying links. Most of those links are on high trafficked sites and have good PR.
Don't buy a PR8 link on a space site when you are trying to sell beauty products. Find relevant sites to link with. If you're buying the links, then REALLY make sure the site is relevant with yours.
Like Sicarius said, most paid links are on a monthly basis and won't benefit you by the time their is a PR update.
Here are a couple of good sources to buy links:
