Post subject: When do links get picked up?

Hi all,
I'm currently in the process of gathering incoming links, and I've so far managed to get four sites with PRs ranging from 3-5. They've all been added in the past 9 days, but I've yet to see any tangible benefit from them. By that I mean that my PR remains at 0 (my site is roughly one month old) and google still doesn't show any results for the link: command.
I fully understand that it's still early days, but I'm curious as to how long it normally takes for google to recognize newly added inbound links.
Thanks!

Hi Canuck
It will take between a day and a month for Google to actually find the links. Once they are found, it will usually take a week for them to affect your rankings but it will take a month or so before you receive the full value of the link.
They only update the toolbar and backlinks monthly but that's only really for searchers of surfers to look at - the value of the links has probably already been included in the algorithm prior to the update.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
