Hi All,

Is it possible to place two or more times the google adsense ads on a single page?

I am not talking about the number of ads.

I mean can we place adsense unit twice on the same page one on the top and other at the middle.

Google's terms are fuzzy on this area, because they say you can place multiple adsense panes as long as the same advertisements aren't displayed twice.

Because there is currently no way to assure that there are no duplicate ads, then it has been my understanding that you CAN'T place multiple adsense panes.

I believe someone did ask google for clarification on this issue in the past.

I did ask Google for clarification recently, since it was a fuzzy area. Their reply was No, we cannot place multiple ad units on the same page. The reason was as robert mentioned, because there is no way to keep the ads from duplicating, and we are not allowed to show duplicate ads.

They did say, however, that the wording in the TOS was for future consideration, if they decide to offer that feature in the future.

Well, if they do offer it in the future, then I guess it will mean that we will all probably receive a slightly higher amount of earnings.

So lets hope that Adsense speeds up in this decission.

Any confirmation on this?

I've seen sites that put multiple adsense block on their pages. One even put 3 adsense units of different size on each of their pages.

It's currently against the terms.

Millionaire, the sites with multiple adsense code are violating the TOS and risking loss of their account, that's a fact. When I asked Adsense about it, I included a link to several sites and received a thank you from Adsense as well. It wasn't long and those ads were gone.

And also I notice only recently. If two adsense units on one page, Google now seems to have a technology to block at least of of them from displaying, if not block both or all of them. Anyone elso notice this?

I was using Google's AdSense for one location, and FastClick for a second location. FastClick also serves AdSense ads as part of their content, and Google wrote to me asking that I stop showing their ads twice on a page. It was simple to block the FastClick served AdSense ads, and they never got nasty with me. They were very polite when telling me of the problem, and they replied nicely when I told them that I had taken care of it.

It seems that Google now allows you to run 3 ads on a single page.

That is correct. I have had one of my pages read by a Google Adsense guy, and he told me it was just fine. I had 2 Adsense blocks + Google Adsense Search on that page.

Google updated their policy a few months back allwing this. When the thread was started, they did not allow more than one use of their code on any page. Some people have had good luck with the multiple instances of AdSense on the page, and others have reported that they are sticking with one.

I am using multiple AdSense codes on many pages with good results.

However, sometimes one code set will eliminate the others showing up. I hear other people have this problem.

Any input?

I am noticing a very strange behaviour. I have put GoogleAd units in my Blog but the ads appear only in IE and do not appear at all or appear very rarely in Firefox ?

Is this issue related to the Adblock extension of firefox ? Or is it some bug in Adsense ?

Thanks.
Amit.

I use Netscape 7 and I see the ads fine, they are about blogging.
