The FAQ seems to indicate they expect everyone to have a single account. Multiple accounts are allowed, the example they give is if separate payments are needed - I suppose that would be if one person was managing AdSense programs for a number of clients.

I imagine they are receiving a lot of inquiries about getting better statistics without having to have separate accounts for each site. Has anyone seen any official response from Google on any forums?

Hi Bobby

I haven't seen any official response from AdSense, but I now have three different accounts, without any problems. We simply applied three different times.

Our sites are plainly very different. I don't see any reason why AdSense would have a problem with that.

Allan,

Did you sign up under different names or different "pay to" names? Did you use different addresses for the different accounts?

I would think having different accounts would be much simpler on a number of levels.

Thanks,
Bobby

I asked this question of Google because I really wanted the tracking. Here is their response:

Hello Audri,

Thank you for your enthusiasm about AdSense. We are excited to be able to
provide this service.

Your's is a very good question. As outlined in our Terms and Conditions,
opening multiple AdSense accounts is a violation of our program policies.
Multiple accounts held by the same individual or entity are subject to
immediate termination.

We appreciate you taking the time to offer us this feedback and encourage
you to continue to let us know how we can improve Google AdSense. As
AdSense is still a young program, new features are under consideration and
your feedback is very helpful.

Please feel free to email us at adsense-support@google.com if you have
additional questions or concerns. For technical support, please email
adsense-tech@google.com.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

I hesitate to give advice on this because Google itself seems more than a little confused.

This week, its Standard Terms and Conditions were saying:
"Multiple accounts held by the same individual or entity are
subject to immediate termination."

However, its FAQ was saying: "... publishers may create
multiple accounts if they manage sites that require separate
payments."

Sounds to me as if changes might be coming, but it's best to use different Pay To names, addresses, etc. for multiple accounts in the time being.

Bobby, I've been told that AdSense will want you to use the name that can be found when someone does a Whois search on your domain name.
I've been that applications have been rejected because the two don't match.

I have three accounts all with exactly the same "pay to" name and address - mine.

I own sites that are run by different employees, so it's important that I have different accounts for tracking. I really need more accounts because I now have AdSense on five sites, but I didn't want to push my luck.

DISCLAIMER: Use this information at your own risk. We have a situation that's in a state of flux. I'd hate anyone to get into trouble by taking incorrect advice. If you're at all in doubt, please email the support staff at AdSense and ask. They're helpful and they want this system to work just as much as we do.
