Well AdSense seems to be having an awful day today. About 75% of my page views are showing PSAs, I never see PSAs! CTR is almost non-existant, way out of the ordinary, which suggests other visitors to my site are getting the same thing. Frustrating. Anyone else seeing similar today?

Not for us. In fact it looks like it will be a very good day for us. Do you target a niche? Could be that everyone's account ran dry all at the same time and they have nothing paid to show. Either that, or they did not like something on your site and disabled you. Check your email for a letter from them, or write to verify your status if paid ads don't come back.

Hi Brad, I wouldn't say it's a niche site, never been short of ads before. The odd thing was, if I refreshed my pages, I got ads, it was the just first impression of each page that gave a PSA. It seems ok again today, but the final CTR figure for yesterday was down approx 90% on the average, which makes me think other people viewing my site were seeing PSAs as well. Hopefully "just one of those days"...have to see how today pans out.

Cheers,

T32.

If you don't like PSAs, you can choose to display what AdSense calls "alternate" ads - an ad you choose, such as one for an affiliate product.

That's what I've done on this forum.

Yes, alternate ads make sense. I'd never set them up before because I'd never seen a PSA on my site, but this has convinced it's a worthwhile exercise.

Click through was much better again yesterday, and although still about 50% down on the average, Fridays are always my slowest day for AdSense so I don't read anything into that.

Cheers,

T32.

My CTR is also almost non-existant and I am also seeing alot of PSAs which I had only noticed today. I don't know but quite a few PSAs might have been shown on my site for quite a while as my CTR has been down for most of this month so far.

What I don't understand is that I have never seen public service ads on my site or shall I say both of my sites before.

The worst thing is, is that I am seeing them on pages that is affiliate and ppc search engine related, which is a popular industry on the Net and normally has high paying and also normally has alot of advertisings within Adsense.

What could be causing this downturn, is Adsense loosing Advertisers?
