Hi everyone,
This is my first post after viewing this forum for quite some time. If anybody would mind reviewing my site, I would appreciate it. This is my first site and have been at it for about a month. I still have a lot of work to do, just not enough hours in the day. Thank you for your time. Bob
P.S. I really like this forum and hope to contribute to it in the future. _________________ Find out about your music and movie options from your computer at www.musicmovieschoice.com |

Hi Bob,
You should edit your post and add your website link to your sig. file.
As not everybody will check your profile.
All the best

Ok, Bob, in your home page you had "I" at least 8 times and in one paragraph 4 times! Come on, you can be more creative than that, rework some of those sentences to be customer oriented without the "I" and list some of the benefits (not features) to your viewers for going deeper into your site.
Six out of 7 of your descriptive paragraphs have the type of site, then say "these" ... dig into a thesaurus if you have to but try to stop using so many "junk" words. Words like "these" "that" "and" are fallback words when you don't want to think creatively
On your summary pages, where you list the programs and an image about the program, then link to your review page ... I would lose the image, and make it clear you are offering personalized reviews on the products mentioned. At first glance, I thought they were just links to the merchants and I wasn't ready to click on them yet. The images are fine on your review page however and the info provided is good (from what I can see since I don't use services like these).
In your summary pages the "you can go here" and "for more information" are more fallback phrases that needs worked on. When you see the same phrasing over and over as you have on these pages, it's boring and won't inspire your visitors. Get Creative!
Hope this helps,

Phil and Debs,
Thanks for the replies. I'll start working on it when I get home from work tonight. Debs, you're a very special person who doesn't mind helping people out. Good luck to you! I hope someday if I ever get good with this stuff, I'll be able to do the same. _________________ Find out about your music and movie options from your computer at www.musicmovieschoice.com |

Hi Bob, Welcome to the forum.
Looks as though you've chosen an interesting challenge there - a very popular niche.
Your main key phrase for your main page is "music downloads", so I did quick searches on Google for "music downloads" (with and without the quotes). You face some tough competition there. Fortunately for you, most people search without quotes, so it's not an impossible task to get in the top 10.
Your big challenge is going to be adding some really useful articles to you site, so that lots of music related sites will link to you. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Hi Allan,
Thank you for taking a look at my site. I know I'm up against some stiff competition, but I'm going to give it a try. Any suggestions by you, Debs, or anyone else, are more than welcome to help me succeed, and I thank you. As I said to Debs in an earlier post... if I ever get good at this, I too will also try and help others out. Bob
P.S. Debs, if you read this, I changed my homepage per your recommendations......... is it any better in your honest opinion? _________________ Find out about your music and movie options from your computer at www.musicmovieschoice.com |

Bob,
Competition is always great for Business.
You just have to be a little more or a lot more creative with some different Twists.
I'll just offer a couple quick thoughts and ideas.
Consider niche keyword phrases and writing articles on all of the Artists related to particular Movies.
Everybody loves reading about Famous people and other related stuff. Which could be movie producers, directors, writers, actors, musicians, movie news, reviews...
Lots of bait for Adsense etc.
All the best

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your advice.
This website building stuff is fun and interesting. I wish I could do it for a living. I have a strong desire to succeed in whatever I do, only time will tell if this is for me. You and the other people on this forum only make me want to try even harder. Your thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks again, Bob (Hey, it's finally starting to warm up here in Ohio.) _________________ Find out about your music and movie options from your computer at www.musicmovieschoice.com |

Ideas for articles...
What do you do with the music you download? Burn it to a CD?
If so, what software do you use and recommend for that?
What hardware?
Do you recommend any particular CD manufacturer?
Where's a good place to get high-quality CDs cheap?
Where I can bulk buy good CDs?
Are there particular brands of CDS I should avoid?
What problems have you had and how did you overcome them?
You recommend various sites. Which ones do YOU use?
There used to be a site you could go to, choose songs and they would burn a CD and post it to you. Do any sites like that still exist?
How about an FAQ?
Hope that stirs some brain cells. _________________ Allan Gardyne
