I agree about the simple and fast. I try to do that with all my sites.
There may appear to be some fancy graphics, but most of it is just colored tables, color text and good layout design.
You can find lots of free templates online as well. I have used a couple from http://www.comteche.com
They have many templates you pay for, but some good, simple free ones as well.
If you do a google for "free website templates" you will get lots to choose from. And many can be easily modified to suit your needs. _________________ Eric D. Burdo They Made $6,513 a day With Clickbank Doing This...

I just took a look at your site for the first time (no cache), Eric. The homepage loaded in 4 or 5 secs on my 28K dial up, which is very good these days. No bells and whistles, but certainly clean and crisp looking, if you ask me.

Quite true. Not at all difficult to get the hang of, either.
Incidentally, what matters is how quickly a page seems to load, rather than how quickly it actually does. The way to achieve this, is by giving the visitor something to read immediately, while the rest of the page loads.
By the way, here's some tips for making pages SEEM to load quickly, if anyone's interested...
1. If you use tables, use a number of small ones rather than one large one, and avoid nesting tables iif at all possible. (The browser has to load an entire table before anything within it gets displayed.)
2. Make the title and first paragraph(s) in their own table (if in one at all) so that the visitor can read these while the rest of the page loads.
3. Specify the pixel dimensions for all graphics in the IMG tags. This way the browser will fill in the text around them while it waits for the graphics to load, since it knows how much space to leave.
There are other tricks, but these are all that spring to mind right now!
As the world gradually converts to broadband (high speed) connections these issues are becoming less important, but mnay of us will be stuck with dial up for some time to come.
Secondly, some of the issues with tables are not relevant if you use CSS.
Hope this helps,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
