I have really had enough with these smaller pay per click search engines. From day one they have provided me with nothing but fake clicks because of their poor distribution network.

I mean, how many people use search engines other than the main ones such as google, msn, yahoo, aol, netscape, lycos, hotbot, altavista etc. These main ones are the distribution network for Overture.

Overture and Google seem to be the only real options as far as PPCs go. Findwhat is the next best option but at least 60% of their traffic is fake, which is much better than the other small ones but still worrying.

Has anyone experienced similar problems with PPCs? Is it even worth bothering with small PPCs or do I have to only work with the overly expensive Overture & Google?

Kern,

One of the interesting things with pay per clicks is that people report vastly different results from them. Some people will have good results from one, while others report lousy results.

To an extent there's a lot of trial and error involved. You have to experiment a bit to see which will give you good results. What works for one advertiser won't necessarily work for another.

The reputable ppcs should be willing to examine allegations of fraudulent clicks and to reimburse the advertiser if the allegations are found to be correct.

Have you ever made a complaint to the ppcs you've had trouble with? I'd be interested in hearing how they responded.

Has anyone tried / have comments on ah-ha.com (now enhance.com)???

I'm using their PPC engine and they've recently upgraded the minimum charge to $.03.

I had the worst results with enhance.com. I have no intentions of even giving them another try. They basically sent me more traffic than overture but everyone they sent to my site registered no activity, not even a click on a link.

Basically, you get what you pay for. There is a very good reason why they are so cheap.

The smaller PPCs are not totally to blame. Its just that they partner with the wrong sites because overture took all the good partners.
