Post subject: How to reactivate CJ account that was deactivated?
|
|
|
For some reason unknown to me, CJ decided to deactivate my account before I even started using it. So now I've got to apply all over again for a new account, which I did, only to find that I can't apply with the same email address.
Without using another email address, is there any way to create a new account, or reactivate my original account? I tried to contact them but they have no email or contact form on their contact page (why!).
Cheers,
Zahid |

If you have found a way of re-activating your account then I would appreciate it if you let me know as I would also like to get mine re-activated. The only way I can think of right know is by picking up the telephone and actually calling them. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

Hi John,
I haven't found a support email address to use. The only other thing I can think of is for someone to login to their CJ account and see if they can get a support address from within.
Anyone reading wanna take a look?
I live in the UK, so I don't really want to bother with a phone call, though it may be necessary.
Cheers,
Zahid |

John, just letting you know that I managed to get a reply by sending an email to the public relations address (pr AT cj.com) and asking them to forward by email to support.
[Email address edited to try to fool spam robots. Admin.]
Hope that helps.

| Since my CJ account has been de-activated, how can I work around this email problem? They really have a poorly designed site. You can't use a previous email address, they don't have any way to contact support other than calling. I want to use my SBI mail or my ISP mail but NOOO, these were associated with my previous account. I don't want to use Yahoo or Hotmail because of the 300+ spam mails you recieve through these. What am I to do? |

Charles, it was explained in a previous post how to contact them.

There is also a post on here with the phone number too if you want to call, just not sure if it is in this thread or another one you may need to search for.

You can get a cheap dial up with an email account, like highstream.com or similar for about $7.95 US a month. Then when re-activated change it. |

I got a response from emailing them and they said that they can't re-activate accounts. The only thing that they said you can do is try signing up to their network again.
I done what they said and I found that I had to sign up with improper information about myself and then once I was approved, I could then login to my account and then change it to my proper information. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

Yes, I guess that you would have to re-apply to all of the affiliate programs again as once you are a member of CJ again, you will then have a different affiliate member id associated with your new account to what you had in your previous account. _________________ Affiliate Programs Directory - Over 2,000 Programs

CJ can stick it where the sun don't shine.
The sooner I can rid my site of their poisonous code the better off I will be!
My account got added to a batch that was de activated for no activity (even though mine had sales).
I had to re-apply change all my aff code (which with SBI can be a pain).
I am following the advice of many successful people on many other forums who are abandoning the aff networks and going for independant programs.
CJ can go to hell in my opinion. _________________ Business Owners Guide to Going Online What every business owner needs to know about going online |

I feel for you, we had to do the same thing. I know it's only a matter of time till we'll go through this again. We have not one sale according to CJ. We're getting around 100 visitors a day and the click thru to affiliates but not a single sale. I really don't know what to do at this point. We've tried different approaches but nothing is working so far. Now that school has started we'll have more time to redo our site any yet try something new. I don't know if for some reason we're not getting credit or if it's as simple as our site just sucks. Thank goodness for Adsense, it's been rockin lately . |

I know it can be frustrating and changing/reapplying is a pain. I recommend you keep track of when you applied, and make a purchase on your affiliate link before the 6 months is up to avoid this hassle for new affiliates.
My 6 months was approaching near Christmas 2 years ago, so I did Christmas shopping through my links to save myself the hassle.
