Hi,
for my next business venture, I am looking for a good turn-key
affiliate management program, and I wonder if anyone of you
has experince with Darkblue.com ?
They claim not to charge management fees, but rather make their
by displaying pop-unders under the visitors' windows.
Do you think it is a viable solution? _________________ Always my best,

I would hesitate to deal with any program that forces popunders. You don't know what you are getting ... or rather ... what your visitors are getting ... consequently your reputation could go down the sewer.

Hi John,
This is my first post on this forum but I intend to stop by from time to time to answer any questions the board members here might have.
DarkBlue makes money from a pop-under that is generated from the banner click on an affiliate?s website. The pop-under contains a set of Roar.com pay per click results. This window doesn't affect the loading of the advertiser?s site in any way, and the visitor doesn't even know it's there until they exit your site. Plus, we give advertisers 50% of any revenue that is generated from the pop-under. This money gets credited to your account.
Here is an example of how the DarkBlue Affiliate Network operates.
To follow a step-by-step online example with instructions, go to
http://www.debt-consolidation-faq.com/
To some affiliates this might sound like a tough deal at first, but if you consider that we pass on 100% of the payment i.e. DarkBlue takes no cut of the merchant?s payment, affiliates are getting some of the best CPA offers on the Net.
I?m not sure where you got your information from 'friend' but I can assure you we do pay our affiliates and our Net 14 terms are among the best going.
We have never refused to pay someone because they don?t have 100 visitors and the $100 payout comment is a long way off our $25 minimum.
If you?d like to discuss any problems I?m more than happy to do this.
Please feel free to email/phone or IM me.
John, if you?d like to discuss working with us please feel free to drop our advertising manager an email at Jennifer@darkblue.com. _________________ DarkBlue affiliate Network

Are you saying the banner from DarkBlue on the site, when clicked, generates the pop under? Or some other banner? Can you clarify this, Darkblue?
Thanks,
Debs |

yes- when the banner is clicked a pop under (roar.com pages) is loaded behind the advertiser's site.
Please have a look at the example. _________________ DarkBlue affiliate Network

and clarify please? when the darkblue banner is clicked the popunder happens? so you have to put a darkblue banner on your site to participate? is this a graphic banner, or simulated text banner?
I found your FAQ limited, these answers weren't listed. _________________ Learn how to turn keyphrases into quality, well-targeted articles your visitors and SE's will love with Gary Antosh's new ebook "Web Content Made Easy!" |

I was looking at it...correct me if I am wrong Darkblue...
What a person would do is add your banner to the site and when someone at the users site clicks it it generates a pop under for roar.com where you get 2 cents for having a unique visitor. Because they are loaded in a pop under. If the person decides to do something at rora.com you pay a commission of that sale to the affiliate as well?
Thanks,
Don |

Not quite.
We operate just like any other affiliate network you might use.
Webmaster places code on their site.
Surfer clicks
Surfer goes to advertiser's site
surfer buys product
advertiser pays network
Network pays Webmaster.
But here is the difference.
When the Network pays the Webmaster (you) they will normally take 10 - 40% of the earnings as a cut.
So you only get 60% of what you actually made.
DarkBlue pays you 100% of the commission.
Obviously we have to make some money so we load a pop under behind the advertiser?s site, the pop under is from Roar.com. This has nothing to do with the 2 cent per click program you read about. This pop under is DarkBlue's. _________________ DarkBlue affiliate Network

NoCost, keep us posted as the more feedback we got on networks and programs the better it is for all of us

I'll let you know how DarkBlue works out..
I also use MetaReward and SearchCactus, always paid on time. I can recommend them.
The reason I use different companies is probably the same reason anyone else would. Some offers pay a little more on different networks, so I combine all the highest paying offers on my site. |
