Post subject: Does Twitter Effect Your Serp Rank?

I've been doing some research because I've been curious on whether or not media sites, specifically Twitter, effect your overall SERP ranks with in Google eyes. I've found many conflicting answers on from multiple sources saying it only effects it short term, the amount of retweets effects its long term holding, it doesn't effect it at all.
Anyone have an conclusive answers to support either theory?

SERP rank depends on the traffic got and the quality content. As how much your site content be found more time that much you get your serp rank increase. And if you have provided the best quality content in your twitter post and more followers then it will definitely help to get the better serp using twitter.

I do not think so that twitter can improve the serp it can increase the traffic but serp is based upon the content, backlinks and quality of site. Other wise with just twitter you can only increase the traffic.

Twitter's use is not limited to driving traffic into your blog site or landing pages. Search engine are indexing tweets too. This means that tweets appearing in search results will have almost instant updates as compared to regular page listings that need to be indexed to be updated.
