| Personally I prefer Forum Posting. Mostly blogs provides no follow links but we can easily find do follow forums. we can also make friends over forums which Is worthy for personal and professional both level. |

Both. Google likes to see links coming from a variety of sources.
I see the previous post about not using bogs because they are nofollow. This is not universally correct, many blogs are dofollow. Just use a free tool like Comment Kahuna to find them.

Both are important off page activities of SEO to promote the website. personally i suggest you that forum posting gives you more benefits. If you are doing dofollow blogs than that activity also can increase your backlinks.

I mostly prefer to use forum posting. Because forum posting give me all approved links and it is easy to get a good dofollow. And Forum posting method is good way to promote the products. And in Blog comment there is no more probability of approved links. So not more interested to do it.

Here forum is a discussion board where people can learn and share the knowledge. They can get the answers of their questions. So you can earn alot of knowledge and with the help of signatures in forum we can get backlink for our site.On the other hand blog is different from the forum you can earn alot of income from the blog. It can be used for the
information but it can't be called as the discussion board. i always prefer the forum posting instead of the blog commenting.
