Post subject: Yahoo Directory Submissions and Adsense
|
|
|
Hi Everyone,
I am about to submit a site for inclusion in the Yahoo directory. I already have Adsense up and running on the site (with a flag in my php code which can turn it off completely and reformat the pages for the whole site, with a one line change).
My question is this: given that Yahoo and Google appear to be shaping up for a bit of a battle, I was wondering if Yahoo would discriminate against sites that have Adsense when considering them for inclusion in their directory? I don't want to waste $300 by leaving Adsense running, but at the same time I'd rather keep it going (for the obvious monetary reasons).
Anybody have any experience on this topic?
Regards,
Dave |

Dave, there are posts on the forum regarding this, and my memory says several sites were accepted even with Adsense and affiliate links live. You may want to search or browse to find the posts.
If you can turn it off that easily however, I would do it since the Express Inclusion Review is done within a week or so anyway.

Thanks Debs,
sorry, perhaps I should have searched the forums a bit more thoroughly first....

It's ok Dave, I realize it can be hard to find specific posts if you don't know what phrases to search on. I only mentioned it as a source of additional info for you

Dave
I just got my backcountrywintervacations site listed with Yahoo last week using the express submission.
I had all my adsense code listed for over a month before I submitted.
I got in after 3 days.
Don't know if it will be as easy for you but that is my experience. _________________ Business Owners Guide to Going Online What every business owner needs to know about going online |
