I'm not sure if I am the only one experiencing this problem, but whenever I login to the board, I need to do so twice before my login cookie is stored. This happens both on my home PC as well as my work PC.

Happens to me sometimes at work. Never at home.

I think it has to do with the network at work. I usually just leave the "autologin" option enabled. Then it works fine.

It may also have something to do with how you have your cookies and IE security levels set. You may want to experiment with those to see if you can improve your ability to stay logged in.

No you're not the only one... I usually have to log in twice or three times.

I've tried experimenting with cookie and other settings, but to no avail. I don't have any problems with other sites.

Cheers,
Charlie.

I have problems with two other phpBB boards. And one ezboard sometimes. But only from work. At home works fine.

Of course, I usually hit the other boards more frequently from work than from home...

I've been having this problem too for the last few days. How do we re-do our internet settings to keep it from happening?

In IE browser, click "Tools" then "Internet Options"

Click "Privacy" and move the level down to low, if you experiment with this you will see how cookies can be handled.

Just wanted to add my two cents in about logging in here. It always takes two attempts (wish I would remember that so I could stop making comments as "guest!").

I've tried changing security levels, and it hasn't helped yet. I'm wondering if it has something to do with my McAfee software.

Debra,
When you leave, just click your next URL wherever in the menu bar above or favourites, etc., or just close the page. DO NOT CLICK "log out". The login should be automatic next time you open the page.

Last week when the site was being modified, I had several days when even the moderator had to login but all has been fine the last few days.
