You need quality traffic. To attract traffic to your website
1. Submit your site to all major search engines.
2. Submit your site to all major internet directories
3. Get link backs from other websites of identical theme to increase pagerank in search engines.
4. Try to put your websites name as signature in forum posts emails etc.
5. Go for offline advertising like putting your website's name in your name cards etc.

- Optimize your content: make your content to be useful for reader
- Do SEO for your site.
- Join to social network
- Build blog for your site
- take E-marketing campaign (banner, Adwords...)
- use Email marketing campaign

I can increase traffic is like as using a Keyword Rich Title, Use the Title Tag Correctly, Focus Your Content,
Use Text Links and Include a Resource Page of Links.

The most efficient ways:
-- Also the most original way: Add more High Quality Content and related keywords, good content always easily been indexed and people will help you copy and spread them. (a little bit hard.)
-- Change backlink with related websites(on homepage), product website usually use this way.
-- Promote your site through forum. Get high PR. Good PR website always easily been indexed by Search Engine. PR is good, then traffic is good, and Alexa is good.

The best and most effective way to get traffic to any site in any niche is to use Pay Per Click.
Unless you are already established and have lots of free traffic from the search engines, you will need to spend money on advertising to get the most bang for you buck because with free advertising, there is no guarantee that you will gets a ton of traffic.
Free advertising takes time and you will not get a rush of traffic right away.
I am referring to article and video marketing.
