i agree.. forum posting is a great way to drive traffic to your website.
they create great backlinks for your site.
another way would be creating backlinks with related sites.
it will be very useful too..

Try Twitter and Facebook. Find a script that will do that automatically and set up the first campaign. From there ... just count visitors.

Build links, sure. It needs to be done. Build them up.
But remember, Content is king. If you have 100,000 backlinks and no good content, you're done. 1,000 backlinks and hourlu updated news, content, etc will make you do much better than garbage content.
