1. Check out the site reviews done, see how your site measures up to suggestions offered on other sites.
2. Find topic related forums and give solid, free advice and put your site in your signature, make sure and follow forum rules.
3. Keep building content and getting links into your site (assuming you have a content site).
4. If you have a mini or micro site, check out pay per click search engines.
5. Write authoritative articles on your topic and post at article distribution sites, as well as offering them to related sites (not competitive) for free and include a resource box that links to your site.
2 and 5 help build credibility, and links into your site which are essential for decent rankings.
